Rabbit Snail Bundle | Saving Pack

🐌 Rabbit Snail Water Parameters

🌡️ Temperature: 22°C - 28°C (72°F - 82°F)

⚖️ pH Level: 7.2 - 8.5 (slightly alkaline for optimal shell health)

💧 Water Hardness (GH): 6 - 12 dGH (moderate hardness supports strong shell development)

🏞️ Carbonate Hardness (KH): 4 - 10 dKH (helps maintain stable pH levels)

☀️ Lighting: Moderate (does not require specific lighting conditions)

🌱 Substrate: Soft sand or fine gravel (gentle on the snail’s foot)

💨 CO2 Sensitivity: Avoid excessive CO2, as it can lower pH and weaken the shell

🧪 Calcium Requirement: Essential for shell health; supplement with cuttlebone or calcium-rich foods

🌊 Water Flow: Low to moderate (prefers calm water but tolerates gentle currents)

🏠 Tank Size: Minimum 10 gallons per snail (larger tanks help maintain stable water parameters)

🐌 How to Acclimate New Rabbit Snail

🔹 📦 Unpack Carefully – Gently remove the snail from its packaging to avoid stress.

🔹 🧼 Rinse Thoroughly – Use dechlorinated or aquarium water to remove any debris or transport residue.

🔹 🌡️ Float to Match Temperature – Place the snail’s container in your tank for 20-30 minutes to equalize temperature.

🔹 💧 Drip Acclimate – Slowly add small amounts of tank water to the container over 45-60 minutes for a smooth transition.

🔹 🪨 Place in Tank Gently – Set the snail right-side up on the substrate or a stable surface.

🔹 💡 Dim the Lights – Reduce lighting to minimize stress during acclimation.

🔹 👀 Observe Behavior – The snail may take time to start moving; allow it to adjust naturally.

🔹 🛡️ Check Shell Health – Inspect for cracks or damage and ensure a calcium-rich diet for a strong shell.

🔹 🥬 Wait Before Feeding – Offer food after 24 hours to allow the snail to settle into its new environment.
