Snails arrived healthy and while there is a variety on shell patterns they are not as impressive as those pictured in the ordering process, but still nice
They came all alive and active. The reason why I didnβt give a perfect score is the variety of patterns almost doesnβt varies.
I was so excited to get those snails, they look so nice. But unfortunately, only 3 of 5 came alive. That's why I gave 4 βs
I find this kind of snail challenging to keep. This type of nerite is certainly more attractive than the standard nerite. However, I find it a bit more susceptible to dying. That said, I have problems with both kinds. I have built up a nice clearing crew of snails but only by buying a lot of them. The majority die and some are eaten by bettas. Others move out of the water and into the living space and frequently get stuck on dry surfaces and die if they go unnoticed for too long. However, for living with Bettas, nerites are the overall better choice than mystery snails. I only have one betta that has not torn mystery snails to shreds, creating a stinking mess and waste of resources.
10 out of 20 died, which is infuriating. On the bright side, their shell pattern is interesting looking.
