💧 Water Hardness (GH): 3 - 12 dGH (soft to moderately hard)

🏞️ Carbonate Hardness (KH): 2 - 8 dKH

☀️ Lighting: Moderate to high (6-10 hours daily) for vibrant color and healthy growth

🌱 Substrate: Nutrient-rich (preferably soil or enriched gravel for strong root development)

💨 CO2 Requirement: Recommended for enhanced growth and deeper red coloration

🌿 How to Acclimate New Alternanthera Plant

📦 Unpack Carefully: Gently remove the plant from its packaging to prevent damage to the delicate stems and leaves.

🧼 Rinse Thoroughly: Rinse with dechlorinated or aquarium water to remove debris, pesticides, or potential contaminants.

🌡️ Temperature Match: Float the plant in a bag or container in your aquarium for 15-20 minutes to allow gradual temperature adjustment.

🧪 Water Test: Ensure your aquarium’s pH, temperature, and hardness align with Alternanthera’s ideal conditions (pH 6.0-7.5, temp 22-28°C).

💦 Quarantine Option: If possible, place the plant in a separate tank for a few days to monitor for pests, snails, or algae.

🪴 Proper Planting: Trim any damaged leaves and plant the stems in a nutrient-rich substrate, spacing them slightly for better growth.

💡 Gradual Light Exposure: Introduce the plant to lighting slowly, starting with moderate intensity to prevent melting or stress.

🌊 Monitor Water Flow: Ensure a gentle to moderate water flow to prevent uprooting or damage to the delicate leaves.

🧼 Inspect Regularly: Watch for melting leaves or nutrient deficiencies and trim affected areas to encourage new growth.

🟢 First Week Care: Avoid excessive fertilization and CO2 injection initially—allow the plant to adjust before boosting nutrients.
